TA Announces 2023 Mid-Year Promotions

BOSTON and LONDON – July 11, 2023 – TA Associates (“TA”), a leading global private equity firm, today announced the promotion of several professionals across the firm’s Boston and London offices, effective July 1, 2023.

On TA’s investment team, Giovanni Fantini has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Within the Strategic Resource Group (SRG), Diana Martz has been promoted to Principal; Adrien Cipel and Isabelle Donis have been promoted to Senior Vice President; and Peter Kiernan, Will Palmer and Daniel (Woojin) Ra have been promoted to Vice President. On TA’s Capital Markets Group (CMG), Rishabh Shah has been promoted to Vice President.

Investment Team
Giovanni Fantini earned the promotion to Senior Vice President from Vice President. Based in TA’s London office and part of TA’s Europe Services team, he focuses on investments across sectors in Italy and Spain. He serves on the Board of Directors of esPublico, Nactarome and Surfaces Group; and has been actively involved in TA’s investments in Inspired, Kiwoko and LIST. Prior to joining TA in 2016, he was a Senior Analyst at NEO Investment Partners.

Strategic Resource Group
Diana Martz earned the promotion to Principal from Senior Vice President. Based in TA’s Boston office, Diana heads human capital efforts within the Strategic Resource Group. In her role, Diana assists management teams and deal sponsors in identifying world-class executive talent for portfolio operating roles and continues to expand TA’s network of interim consultants/operators, board members and advisors. Prior to joining TA in 2016, Diana was the Director of Talent for OpenView Venture Partners, where she built and managed the venture capital firm’s talent acquisition function and was responsible for hiring more than 450 employees for key positions in its portfolio, starting in 2009. Previously, Diana held roles as the Director of Recruiting at Matchbox, a SaaS startup, and as a consultant at Michael Page International, a recruitment firm.

Adrien Cipel earned the promotion to Senior Vice President from Vice President. Based in TA’s London office, Adrien partners with management teams across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to help identify and drive value creation and performance improvement opportunities. Previously, he was Head of Europe and Global Head of Insurance for WorkFusion. Earlier, he was a Principal at Boston Consulting Group and an M&A Analyst at Morgan Stanley.

Isabelle Donis earned the promotion to Senior Vice President from Vice President. Based in TA’s London office, Isabelle focuses on value creation across TA’s European portfolio and the development of analytic tools to accelerate company growth and improve performance. Isabelle also provides technical support for financial operations, M&A activity, liquidity events and IPO readiness. Prior to joining TA in 2020, she was the Head of FP&A at former TA portfolio company Hana Group and a Senior Manager for Transaction Services at KPMG Deal Advisory.

Peter Kiernan earned the promotion to Vice President from Associate. Based in TA’s Boston office, Peter assists portfolio companies with performance improvement initiatives, including preparation, advising, and coordinating merger integrations. Prior to joining TA, Peter was the Deputy Director of Response Operations for the New York State COVID-19 Task Force. Previously, Peter served as a Marine Raider in the United States Marine Corps.

Will Palmer earned the promotion to Vice President, Data Science. Based in TA’s London office, Will focuses on using data science and advanced analytics to improve operational and strategic decision making at TA’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining TA, Will worked as a Data Scientist at Capricorn Capital Partners UK. Previously, he worked in the Pricing team at Hiscox UK & Ireland.

Daniel (Woojin) Ra earned the promotion to Vice President from Senior Associate. Based in TA’s Boston office, he partners with management teams at TA’s portfolio companies to identify growth opportunities and implement performance improvement initiatives. Previously, he was a Consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Capital Markets Group
Rishabh Shah earned the promotion to Vice President from Senior Associate. Based in TA’s London office, Rishabh focuses on TA’s capital markets activities in Europe for both new acquisitions and portfolio companies, and on fostering strong relationships with the firm’s European financing partners. Prior to TA, he was a Manager in the UK Debt & Capital Advisory practice at Deloitte LLP.
