TA Announces Summer 2022 New Hires in Boston and Menlo Park
BOSTON – TA, a leading global growth private equity firm, today announced eight recent new hires in its Boston and Menlo Park offices.
Expanding the investment team, Dylan Hallman and Kevin Leu have returned as Vice Presidents in Menlo Park and Boston, respectively, Calvin Liou joined as a Senior Vice President in Boston and Jack Laszlo joined as a Vice President in Menlo Park.
In Boston, the firm also welcomed Elliott Brennan as a Vice President in the Capital Markets Group, Mike Donahue and Hannah Hellebush as Vice Presidents in the Strategic Resource Group, and Samantha Ackerman as a Vice President in Investor Relations.

Investment Staff
Calvin Liou joined TA as a Senior Vice President, focusing on investments in healthcare companies across North America. Prior to TA, Liou worked as a Private Equity Principal at BC Partners, dedicated to leveraged buyout investing. He earned BS degrees in Finance and Accountancy, as well as a Master of Science degree in Accountancy, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Dylan Hallman rejoined TA as a Vice President, focusing on investments in financial and tech-enabled services companies in North America. Prior to attending graduate school, Hallman was an Associate in TA’s Menlo Park office. He earned a BS degree in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Jack Laszlo joined TA as a Vice President, focusing on investments in technology companies across North America. Prior to TA, Laszlo was a Private Equity Associate at The Carlyle Group. He earned his BS degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Kevin Leu rejoined TA as a Vice President, focusing on investments in consumer brands, retail and related companies in North America. Prior to attending graduate school, Leu was an Associate in TA’s Boston office. He earned his BS degree in Economics from Duke University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Capital Markets Group & Strategic Resource Group
Elliott Brennan joined TA’s Capital Markets Group as a Vice President, focusing on the firm’s capital markets activities in North America for both new acquisitions and portfolio companies. Prior to TA, Brennan worked at Citizens Financial Group in Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance as a Vice President. He earned a BA degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Mike Donahue joined TA’s Strategic Resource Group as a Vice President, supporting digital finance transformation initiatives to improve the financial operations and analytical capabilities of TA portfolio companies. Prior to TA, Donahue worked as a Director, Finance Transformation at KPMG. He earned his BS degree in Finance from Western New England University.
Hannah Hellebush joined TA’s Strategic Resource Group as a Vice President, focusing on value creation in the firm’s consumer portfolio. Prior to TA, Hellebush worked as a Marketing Director at Dragonfly Commerce, and she previously served as a Case Team Leader at Parthenon-EY. She earned her BA degree in International Studies from Duke University and an MBA from Northwestern University.
Investor Relations
Samantha Ackerman joined TA as a Vice President, Investor Relations. Before TA, Ackerman worked at Warburg Pincus as an Associate Director, Fundraising. Prior to that, she worked in the Investment Banking Division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Oil & Gas group. She earned her BS degree in Business with a focus in Finance from Indiana University.
